Mrs. Charmaine Russell has an extensive background in packaging and FMCG markets. After graduating from Cardiff University with a BSc in Business Administration, she joined Amcor Flexibles in 2003, on their graduate training scheme at a converting and printing plant based in South West England.
Following her successful completion of the scheme, she moved to a Market Intelligence role within their UK-headquartered Corporate Strategy team, working on competitor intelligence and strategic recommendations for new business areas.
She then moved into market analyst roles for FMCG consultancies Leatherhead Food International and Zenith International, where she was responsible for co-ordinating global databases and reports, and providing intelligence, including market feasibility studies and due diligence, on a wide variety of food and beverage markets globally.
Prior to AMI, she worked for Danone Baby Nutrition in their Strategy and Insights team, project managing their continuous data sources.
In 2014 she joined AMI, working on research and consultancy for the global flexible packaging industry in addition to being the Editor of ORIENTATE, AMI’s international newsletter for the biax film industry.
In 2016 she was promoted to the position of Unit Manager – Consumer Packaging to oversee further development of AMI’s portfolio of packaging reports, conferences and consulting services.
In 2017, she accepted the role of Head of Conference Production, responsible for leading the growth and development of AMI’s conference programmes. She also continues to consult on the flexible packaging industry.
