As an entrepreneur, Matthew Breyer has more than 20 years of experience in the residential remodeling industry. For 2018, Matt was voted into the Presidency of the North American Deck and Railing Association. Before being voted into this presidency, he served as Secretary, then Treasurer for the organization, and has been an active member since 2006. As President, Matt has been focusing on rolling out the organization’s new CPAC initiative (Consumer Product Awareness Charter) which will help to provide measurable standards for decking products, improving NADRA’s international relationships, and encouraging greater communication between market segments.
Matt also serves as President of Breyer Construction & Landscape, LLC which he founded in 2001 and has grown to a 20+ employee company, specializing in designing and building custom outdoor living spaces and residential remodeling projects throughout southeast Pennsylvania. Matt also serves as Owner and President of Crestmont Heritage, which is a residential home building business that serves the local marketplace by providing modular-based, energy-efficient housing, and Kat Equipment created to vertically integrate with the other two construction firms by providing excavation services and equipment.
Proving to be a “go-to” in the industry, Breyer contributes articles and is quoted in industry publications such as Realtor.com, Homes.com, Deck Builder Magazine, Remodeling Magazine, and Lumber Building Materials.
Breyer has received awards from GuildQuality, the local Home Builders Association and local Chamber of Commerce and was ranked in the Top 60 nationwide for Customer Service through Qualified Remodeler, as well as making Remodeling Magazine’s “Big 50”.
With industry-specific education from Penn State and Virginia Tech, industry certifications from all major alternative decking manufactures, and a Certified Graduate Remodeler designation from the NAHB, as well as multiple certifications/designations from NADRA, Matt continues to leverage his “real-world” experience along with a diverse academic pedigree.
Striving to create a better community, Matt has been involved with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, NADRA Deck for a Soldier builds, and other church and community service projects.
